Dublin Fringe Festival receives a €5,000 boost in a Special Arts & Culture Draw by Ecclesiastical Insurance

Dublin Fringe Festival was one of ten charities across Ireland and the UK to recently receive a €5,000 boost following a special Arts & Culture Draw, as part of the Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards, brought to Ireland by Ecclesiastical Insurance. The charity was chosen at random following a short nomination period in October.
The Dublin Fringe Festival, established in 1995, is a leading multidisciplinary arts festival, offering a platform for both emerging and established artists. It is dedicated to showcasing contemporary, innovative work from Irish and international artists. Beyond the annual festival, its year-round FRINGE LAB hub provides critical support and resources to thousands of independent artists, fostering creativity and professional growth in Ireland’s vibrant arts community.
Bee Sparks, Artistic Director of the Dublin Fringe Festival, said: “Dublin Fringe Festival is honoured to be the Irish recipient of the Movement for Good awards, which will support the Break New Ground Bursary, a bursary supporting the creation of a bold, visionary project from a first-time Dublin Fringe Festival Artist. This work will spark positive change for artists and audiences alike, allowing radical work from new makers to meet adventurous audiences. We want to extend our thanks to the Ecclesiastical team and the wonderful community who won us this award through their nominations.”
A number of Irish Arts & Culture charities have already benefited from Movement for Good awards in the year including IMMA - Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and Music Network.
The Benefact Group continues its annual tradition of supporting charities with over €1million in grants and awards across Ireland and the UK. As part of this campaign Ecclesiastical Insurance is delighted to announce the return of its annual 12 Days of Giving, in which £120,000 (approx. €140,000) will be donated to good causes. Ten winners will be announced daily during weekdays, with draws taking place from 5th to 20th December. Nominations for the campaign will remain open until 19th December.
