These events are open to all to attend, whether you are researcher, academic, work in H&SC or CVS, or just have an interest in social prescribing.
All events will be held on Microsoft Teams and a link will be shared with those registered.
Event 1 Showcase: Monday 16 May 10:00am – 12:00pm
This event will be an opportunity for individuals in Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and the Isle of Man to showcase their social prescribing related research and developments to each other.
We are asking for contributions from people working within all sectors/professions who wish to showcase their work.
These contributions can be in the following formats:
- Slideshow presentation - – 10 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for questions.
- Poster presentations – 5 minutes for presentation 2 minutes for questions
- Short films (approximately 2 minutes) and/or posters to be displayed during the midway break.
We will create a dedicated page on our Wales School for Social Prescribing Research (WSSPR) website which will provide links to all work showcased at the event.
We aim to showcase work that falls under the five themes of social prescribing research within WSSPR but will also incorporate work that works falls outside these themes. The five themes include: Evaluation, Social Value, Workforce & Education, Well-Being, Green and Blue Spaces, and the Arts (GABS+).

Event 2 Research Priorities 26 May 10:00am – 12:00pm
The focus of the second event will be to will be to develop research priorities.
Event 3 Moving Forwards – 20 June 1.00pm – 3.00pm
The third event will be a forum in which an agreement can be reached on which priorities can be taken forward to work together on.
