Invitation to Bohemian FC Family Intercultural Day, 13 Aug
Bohemian FC is thrilled to invite everyone to their upcoming Intercultural Family Fun Day on Sunday, 13 August, coming up at Dalymount Park from 12pm to 4pm.
This exciting event is made possible through the generous support of the Community Integration Fund. Building on the success of last year's festivities that drew a crowd of over 600, this year promises even more entertainment and enjoyment for all attendees.
The goal of the day is to foster unity and cultural exchange within the community and beyond. Bohemian FC encourages everyone to spread the word among their family, friends, and neighbours to ensure maximum participation in this special occasion.
Admission to the event is entirely free, underlining Bohemian FC's commitment to making the festivities accessible to all.
The Intercultural Family Fun Day will feature a diverse array of activities and attractions, catering to people of all ages and interests:
- Face Painting: Express your creativity with vibrant face painting designs!
- African Drumming Workshops: Join Thomas Annang for lively African drumming workshops, taking place every half hour starting at 12:15. Note that space is limited.
- Large Inflatable Goals and Dart Boards: Engage in friendly competitions with these inflatable gaming setups.
- Silent Disco for Kids: Let the kids groove and dance to their favourite tunes in a unique silent disco experience.
- Kids Giant Games: Enjoy oversized versions of classic games, adding a fun twist to traditional pastimes.
- Refreshments: A variety of refreshments from around the world will be available to keep everyone energised throughout the event.
- Mural Tour with Gerry Farrell: Explore the artistry and history of the Dalymount with guided mural tours led by Gerry Farrell. Tours will commence at 12:30 and 14:00, starting at the Jack Charlton mural in Dalymount Lane.
- Carnival Stalls: Discover a range of carnival-style stalls offering games and prizes.
- Arts and Crafts Workshops: Get hands-on with creative arts and crafts workshops.
- Photo Opportunity with Dublin Bus: Capture memories with a photo opportunity alongside the famous Tiny Dublin Bus.
- Autograph Book for Children: Children can collect autographs and mementos from the event.
- Community Groups Stalls: Connect with various community groups and learn more about their initiatives.
For those interested in specific workshop times and capacities:
- African Drumming Workshops with Thomas Annang will run every half hour from 12:15 onwards, with limited space available.
- Fighting Words character workshops for children, catering to ages 4-13, will take place at 12:30, 14:00, and 15:00, accommodating up to 30 participants per session.
- Mural Tours with Gerry Farrell are scheduled for 12:30 and 14:00, with the meeting point at the Jack Charlton mural in Dalymount Lane.
