Invitation to Launch of Heal the Scars, 10 June
AkiDwA invites you to the launch of "Heal the Scars," a film produced by AkiDwA in collaboration with WE the People Communication Company.

Since February 2023, AkiDwA, along with three other organisations from EU countries, has been working on the Chat Plus project, which focuses on changing attitudes around the practice of FGM by engaging young people to become the driving force in its elimination in Europe. This project is funded by the European Union.
"Heal the Scars" details the life of a young girl who is taken out of Ireland, undergoes FGM, and follows her journey as she becomes a woman and has a child of her own. AkiDwA will be launching the release of this film on the 10th of June from 6-8 pm at the Irish Film Institute, Dublin 2. In addition to the film, we will showcase additional content created by the Young Change Makers and have a panel discussion led by our Young Change Makers.
