The foundations to begin working with complex trauma and becoming a trauma informed practitioner are covered in the Complex Trauma workshop by Dr. Kevin Fehin. Due to demand this complementary workshop considers in depth how to work more directly with complex trauma. The workshop breaks down the key areas any best practice intervention package needs to address such as dissociation, unstable self image, body and emotional regulation, cognitive distortions, attachment and behavioural challenges. It continues exploring complex trauma with particular emphasis on ways to safely move from phase 1 of stabilisation and skills to then begin phase 2 trauma processing.

Suitable for: Psychologists, Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Nurse Practitioners, Youth Workers and Social Care Workers.

NOTE: This workshop can be delivered as either a stand alone training day or as a complement to our Complex Trauma workshop as there will be brief revisiting of the major themes that define trauma and working as a trauma informed practitioner.
