IPPOSI launches a new online course on Research Ethics for the public and patients.

The 6-week online research ethics course was co-developed with key stakeholders and aims to empower the public and patients with knowledge and skills to actively participate in health and social care research ethics processes, including representing the public and patients on Research Ethics Committees.

The course was developed with support from HSE Research and Development, in partnership with the National Office for Research Ethics Committees, a number of patient partners and a wider partnership collaborative. The course is designed for the public and patients in the Republic of Ireland, and is open to individual health service users, patients and carers; as well as staff or volunteers from patient, health or community organisations and charities.

The course will run October 21 till November 29 2024, and is free. Places are limited, and to be selected to participate in the 2024 course candidates must apply before Friday, October 4th .
