Red Cross Trauma & Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training

FREE TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONALS WORKING WITH UKRAINIAN REFUGE

The Irish Red Cross, funded through the EU4Health Programme, is organising free Trauma and Crisis Prevention and Intervention training for professionals working with Ukrainian (and other) refugees.

This 1-day training is delivered by Trauma management expert Jenny Mincin PhD, MPhil, MPA, who is an expert in disaster mental health. 

Topics include crisis-intervention fundamentals, overview of trauma and de-escalation techniques, case studies and exercises to integrate strategies into practice. 

Training will be delivered all over Ireland, the first locations are:

  • Sligo on 23 October 2024
  • Limerick on 14 November 2024
  • Tralee on 15 November 2024
  • Cork on 5 December 2024
  • Galway in January 2025.
