Richmond Barracks Summer Fair: Come together to support artists and makers inspired by the theme of upcycling, recycling, and reusing.
Enjoy a day filled with creativity, community and connection during our weekend Summer Fair on Saturday, 25 May, and Sunday, 26 May, from 11am to 5pm at Richmond Barracks, Inchicore, Dublin 8.

Beyond a traditional market, our fair invites people of all ages to engage in creative and fun activities, try something new, and discover what happens at Richmond Barracks. Richmond Barracks is a venue of historical importance located within a vibrant community. The building co-locates a library, workshops, cultural activities, and a programme of historical tours and talks.
This Fair is inspired by the theme of upcycling, recycling, and reusing.
Here's what awaits you at the Richmond Barracks Summer Fair:
Stalls: Browse our stalls, which showcase a variety of makers and creators. Pick up delicious treats and celebrate upcycling, recycling, and reusing with sustainable goods and handcrafted items.
Here are some of the vendors joining us for the Summer Fair:
- Wild Sióg: Tara sells honey and apple cider vinegar drinks made with honey and wild herbs.
- Retuned: Paul upcycles musical instruments into household furniture.
- Seams Obsessed: Katie Mckinnon makes clothes and bags from upcycled and second-hand fabrics.
- ArtyFacts: Lisa McKeown makes upcycled book art and VHS art.
- The Upcycled Movement: Lynn Haughton creates bags and accessories from upcycled wetsuits.
- Serendipity by Jayne: Jayne Durrad handcrafts necklaces made from recycled coffee pods and beads from preloved jewellery.
Workshops: Try out crafting, upcycling, and making.

Tours: Join one of three guided walking tours, on biodiversity, the history of 1916, or the local garden cemetery, Goldenbridge. Tours are free during the Fair.
Food and Drink: Savour the flavours of the season from our indoor café FoodCloud Kitchen, and a selection of food trucks.
Entertainment: Enjoy performances from talented artists and musicians, creating a lively atmosphere throughout both days of the Fair.
Inchicore Library: The Library will be open each day, and along with all their usual services, they will have a special selection of summer-related books available. The Library is also holding a Teddy Bears Picnic at the Fair! There will be stories and songs and lots of fun. Don't forget your teddy!
Free Admission: Entry to the Richmond Barracks Summer Fair and all workshops are free. Bring your family, friends, and curiosity for a day of exploration and discovery. The building is wheelchair, buggy and dog-friendly.
